Employee Navigator Announces the Sunset of the Ease Platform

It’s been three years since we closed on the acquisition of Ease in April of 2023. At the time, we made several commitments to the brokerage community regarding our plans for the two platforms. A central goal was to ensure continuity for the services supported on the Ease platform while minimizing disruption for companies using Ease. Hopefully, we have earned the trust of the insurance community over the past three years as demonstrated by our steadfast commitment to deliver on those promises including:
- Ensuring feature parity between the two systems including adding Ease’s critical carrier forms.
- Developing a migration tool that makes it easy for brokers to move companies from Ease to Employee Navigator. Currently, the tool is already being used hundreds of times each day to successfully migrate companies at each broker’s own pace and schedule.
- Keeping Ease fees unchanged over the past three years. (Really, what other company would have done this?) We will begin re-contracting Ease brokers starting in Q2, 2026.
- Supporting GAs, including their rate libraries and personnel operations.
We are pleased to share that 300+ features have been added to Employee Navigator, with many more still to come. As part of this effort, we communicated early on that the eventual sunset of Ease would be managed carefully to avoid rushing brokers or disrupting their customers.
As of today, 95% of companies on Ease are eligible to upgrade to Employee Navigator without losing any functionality, and that number will reach 98.5% by the end of June. Our work toward full parity continues, and our teams remain focused on closing the remaining gaps between the two systems. Given our progress, we are now ready to announce the Ease sunset timeline with the goal of providing brokers with ample time to upgrade their customers to Employee Navigator. The transition will occur over two phases.
Effective January 1, 2027: No New Companies
Beginning January 1, 2027, new companies can no longer be added to Ease, and the “Add Company” feature will be disabled. Existing companies on Ease will not be impacted including integrations, renewals, and customer access. Not one change! Brokers may continue renewing and servicing existing Ease groups throughout 2026 and into 2027. This change simply prevents new groups from being added as of January 1, 2027.
Effective July 1, 2027: Read-Only Sunset Date
Effective July 1, 2027, Ease will officially sunset and transition to read-only mode. Brokers, HR teams, and employees will retain access to historical data and reporting tools, while integrations and customer support services for Ease will be discontinued.
Training
Employee Navigator is committed to providing Ease users with the support and resources needed to upgrade to Employee Navigator. Last year, we launched a comprehensive instructional video library for brokers and HR teams. In addition, our AI Assistant delivers fast, accurate answers to customer questions with 99.4% accuracy, while calls to our support department have been answered in an average of just 18 seconds year-to-date. We also recently implemented a screen-sharing tool to help accelerate troubleshooting and improve customer support experience for brokers. To further support the transition, we have launched several additional training courses including:
- Live Virtual Training: Weekly virtual system training sessions have been scheduled through August 2026, with additional sessions to be added as needed into the fall. These live training sessions follow the same proven approach we have used to successfully train more than 7,000 brokers.
- In-Person Training: Two in-person training sessions are scheduled for June in Maryland and California. These two-day sessions are designed to provide more hands-on guidance and personalized support from our team.
- Migration Tool Training: Training sessions focused on using the migration tool to move groups from Ease to Employee Navigator began in April and will continue throughout 2026. Sessions are held twice a month on Fridays.
- HR Training: Training sessions to help HR teams become experts in Employee Navigator are held on the second and third Wednesday of every month from 2:00-3:00pm Eastern, covering both beginner and advanced topics.

Finally, we have seen inaccurate and misleading information from competitors attempting to use this transition to their advantage. While it’s easy to stoke fears, Employee Navigator has focused on building software and delivering results specifically for insurance brokers for more than 15 years. Ask yourself, would any one of these companies promise to hold fees steady for 3 years? Is their board controlled by VC’s? Does their CEO come from the insurance industry?
While we understand that change can be frustrating, we believe our track record of supporting brokers and carriers, maintaining affordable pricing, and helping brokers grow their business speaks for itself. When you hear competing narratives, ask yourself whether those VC-backed competitors will stand by your side the way Employee Navigator has or if they’ll be there to support you in the future.
It’s your software, we work for you. We always have and always will. We’ll make mistakes, but we will work to fix them quickly. When your bottom line improves, so does ours.
I still have my dad’s coffee cup which says, “Insurance agents are premium people”. Each day I work to live up to those expectations.
